Learning and practicing sailing on the Costa Brava is a unique way to enjoy the sea, the wind and sailing in a privileged environment.
In Platja d’Aro, at Set Sail Costa Brava we bring the exciting world of sailing to people of all ages, from children to adults, always from a fun, educational and safe perspective.
Sailing is much more than a sport: it’s teamwork, constant learning, and a connection with the sea.

Available options
Our dinghy sailing courses are ideal for beginners or for those looking to further develop their technique and skills. They are designed for both children and adults, with a progressive and practical approach.
During the course you will learn:
- The different navigational routes
- Basic and advanced maneuvers
- Nautical vocabulary
- Use of sails: mainsail, jib and gennaker
- Turns and gybes
With the support of our instructors, you will end up sailing independently and fully enjoying the sailing experience.

- 5-day course (Monday to Friday): €190
- Mandatory accident insurance: €5
Note: All courses have the same duration and price, and you can take as many as you like.
The instructor adapts the teaching level according to the experience and progress of each student.
We reward consistency:
- By taking 2 courses, you will get a 25% discount to participate in the Set Sailboat Challenge.
- When you take 3 courses, you will receive a 50% discount.
You decide the pace, the type of boat (single or double) and the objectives of the session, always accompanied by a monitor.

Do you want to learn to sail
with us in Playa de Aro?
We offer weekly sailing courses from Monday to Friday, both morning and afternoon, with the aim of learning to sail in different types of boats.
- The beginner levels sail in group boats, always with the monitor on board.
- Students with higher skill levels and greater autonomy navigate in LASER PICO and RS Zest, individual boats.
- For dual or collective navigation, RS Quest and RS Vision are used, which are lighter and faster.
We recommend the afternoon schedule for adults, as the wind and sea conditions are usually more demanding and enrich the learning experience.
Before we begin
Our instructors explain the technical and safety basics before going into the water, adapting the sessions to the age and level of the students.
The afternoon courses have a theme more oriented towards the practice of regatta maneuvers, designed for those who want to take a further step and delve into the competitive world of dinghy sailing.
During the session
All courses include basic navigation skills and dedicate a day to a coastal crossing, weather conditions permitting.
During the last week of the season we organize the Set Sailboat Challenge, a special course in competitive format where students can experience the real experience of participating in a dinghy regatta, applying everything they have learned during the season.
