Our Team – Set Sail Costa Brava
Set Sail Costa Brava was founded in 2018 by Santi Isbert, a professional with experience in the active tourism sector since 2012, with the aim of offering nautical experiences in Playa de Aro.
Passionate about outdoor sports, especially windsurfing and kitesurfing, Santi transmits that energy and enthusiasm in all the sports we offer: sailing, kayaking, paddle surfing and, of course, windsurfing.
With a solid technical background (technical engineering), Santi has also trained as a sports director, obtaining the higher degree of sailing technician.
Today he dedicates 100% of his time to the school, located in the Club Nàutic de Platja d’Aro, working every year to improve, grow and pursue a dream: to transmit the passion, the experience in the sport and the values that it brings.

Santi Isbert has over a decade of experience in active tourism and water sports. Since 2012, he has worked on various projects related to the sea before founding Set Sail Costa Brava, where he combines technical expertise, safety, and a passion for sailing. His mission is to bring the Mediterranean closer to all kinds of people through authentic, safe, and accessible experiences, always conveying his connection to the Costa Brava and outdoor sports.
Raquel
Kayak and marine biologist
Raquel is the marine life specialist at Set Sail Costa Brava. As an ecologist, she brings scientific knowledge, environmental awareness, and a deep passion for the Mediterranean ecosystem. On each outing, she helps participants discover the area’s underwater richness, interpret the fauna and flora, and understand how to care for the environment. Her approach combines education, safety, and a respectful view of the sea, making each experience a truly enriching learning opportunity.
Irene
Windsurfing and sailing instructor
Irene is a windsurfing and sailing instructor with infectious energy and a remarkable ability to connect with all kinds of students. Always smiling, she enjoys the wind and the sea, transforming each session into a dynamic and engaging experience. Her teaching style makes learning natural and fun, helping students gain confidence and security from the very first moment.
Júlia
Windsurfing and sailing instructor
Júlia is a windsurfing and sailing instructor, renowned for her calm and precise teaching style. She inspires confidence from the very first minute, adapting to each person’s pace and attending to every detail of the learning process. Her serene and technical approach creates an ideal environment for safe progress and enjoying the sea without pressure.
Víctor
Activities coordinator
Victor is in charge of coordinating the activities and ensuring the team’s safety. His experience and sound judgment guarantee that each session is well-organized and that everything runs smoothly. He is a key figure in the project, providing reassurance, order, and support to both the team and the participants.

Wingfoil instructor
Remco is a wingfoil instructor known for his practical and decisive approach. He offers clear and direct instructions, with a friendly demeanor that facilitates learning and accelerates progress. His ability to adapt to each student makes all the difference, creating effective, motivating, and safe sessions.
Alexia
Sailing instructor
Alexia is a sailing instructor who feels a natural connection to the sea. She enjoys sharing her passion for sailing and guiding students through their learning process, always with a friendly and positive approach. Her method combines technique and sensitivity, creating a trusting environment that invites everyone to enjoy the sea safely and peacefully.
Jorge
Sailing & Kayak
Jorge is a sailing and kayak instructor at Set Sail Costa Brava. Dynamic, communicative, and very approachable, he creates a trusting atmosphere from the very first moment, easily adapting to all types of participants and skill levels. His teaching style combines clarity, energy, and attention to detail, turning each session into an active, motivating, and safe experience.
He confidently leads both sailing lessons and kayak outings, guiding participants to enjoy the sea with ease, learn naturally, and always leave with a positive experience on the water.
