At Set Sail Costa Brava, the sailing school of the Club Nàutic of Port d’Aro, we specialize in sailing sports. We offer sailing summer courses opened to anyone who want to learn and enjoy this amazing sport, no matter your age. You will find beginner sailors as well as more advanced ones who like to come train and spend hours at sea practicing and improving their skills.
This year we will go further and put our athletes to the test, so that they could learn about Sailing from a competitive perspective and have an additional motivation to seek improvement in each lesson, and take advantage in each training session and navigation practice.
For this reason, we introduce you the Set Sailboat Challenge, our self-organized contest together with the Club Nàutic Port d’Aro, that will take place the last week of the season, and will put our students to the test and give them the opportunity to experience first-hand what it means to participate in a sailing boat regatta: making a precise start, tacking at the right time, and passing the buoys correctly are some of the manoeuvres that you will have to master if you want to be among the winners, and get a reward.
This event will be open to those who wish challenge themselves and experience the competitive world of this exciting sport such as sailing, and above all, who want to have a great time with their colleagues and instructors.
We all know that great results come after great efforts, so we hope to see you training in the sailing courses that will be taught every week at our facilities. On mornings we will be learning general navigation concepts, and in the afternoon we will focus our training on practicing the regatta maneuvers to be well prepared for the challenge that awaits us. In addition, in each course we will spend a day on a sailing trip and travel along our coastal area of the Costa Brava wherever the wind will take us 😉
